I enjoyed trying these Sonora-style hot dogs at Lupita's. While the hot dog meat was decent but nothing special, the hot dog buns were soft, fluffy, and fresh, and the toppings added a nice touch, especially the queso and avocado. I'm not the biggest hot dog guy in general, but I'd recommend coming to this place if you're looking for a high-quality affordable eat in the area. The fries are also decent but nothing special.
Amazing hotdogs and huge portions of the toasti ceviche 10/10 would get again, and the agua de melón was delicious
Okay the service we had was above and beyond even if we didn't speak Spanish! We preferred a variety of food items and they came out fresh and looked just like the photos! We a couple of the Sonoran dogs and they were packed full of flavor and we also got Elote and some cheese fried and boy we were in heaven! Don't forget the agua frescas!!! The set up outside was so relaxed and come as you are! Felt like we were in Mexico at a street vendor! Can't wait to go back!
This is by far the best Sonoran hotdog bread I have ever had. The Sonoran dogs are all amazing because the bread is ridiculous. They have a lot of other options as well and prices are very reasonable. Everything is basically five dollars to $10. They have a bunch of Agua Frescas and the vibe reminds me of laid-back mom and pops outdoor bbq.
Seriously, don't let this place fool you: yes, it looks like a glorified food truck, but it's not, and I can't wait to see if they "graduate" to an actual indoor restaurant. Good selection of food (if you're looking for hot dog-centric fare) at good prices. I was surprised at how many little things they had around that could be added to an order: all kinds of desserts, cheese fries, a great selection of sodas. I was happily surprised!
